Latest solutions in radiology

The 2019 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) again underlined its leading role. Over 30,000 delegates from 133 countries attended the congress and exhibition to learn about the latest solutions in radiology.

Pioneering Partnerships for Advanced Healthcare

Shimadzu has participated in the ECR since its beginning in 1991, and accompanies the congress as an ESR Supporting Member. At the 25th ECR in Vienna, Shimadzu presented clinical innovations for ultra-fast tissue analysis in oncology and the new-generation optical brain-function imaging screening method.

Our visitors on the stand were particularly interested in the new advanced X-ray applications and systems in terms of quality, speed, precision and handling.

Shimadzu again underlined its pioneering role in medical technology through groundbreaking new diagnostic and analytical possibilities for the future. The merger of cutting-edge technologies and methods provides new clinical support for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.

Shimadzu showcased the latest cutting-edge product solutions:

Sonialvision G4 – universal R/F system with new functions provides innovations in all areas, such as patient handling and care, dose reduction and image quality, as well as more simplified workflows.

RADspeed fit Plus – new advanced version of general radiographic system integrates ease of use feature s of top-class systems in a simple manner.

Award-winning MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 series – the wireless DR solutions
features a collapsible column with pioneering and peace-of-mind technologies to broaden the mobile device’s solutions.

DPiMS2020 – new mass spectrometer for quick analysis of tissue* provides easy operation without sample preparation. The unit uses a probe to remove a microquantity of liquid from the sample placed on the sample plate and inject it into the MS unit for mass analysis.

LIGHTNIRS – new-generation optical brain-function imaging* applies near-infrared light, which diffuses easily through biological tissue and measures localized blood oxygenation levels of the brain to monitor where activity occurs in response to a stimulus.
